Blanket of Self-Love Meditation

This 10 minute meditation focuses on self-love, calmness and peacefulness with yourself.

The audio, combined with the deeply relaxing music evokes the image of a blanket made of flowers. This blanket wraps you in warmth and inner moments of joy to help calm and relax you. 

This meditation is particularly helpful for moments where you are feeling anxious, stressed or frustrated. It is intentionally designed to bring you back to yourself for just 10 minutes. 

By taking a regularly 10 minute daily 'blanket' of flowers, you might dramatically improve your wellbeing and ability to handle stress.

It is recommended you incorporate this meditation into your week so that you can turn to it as often as you need. You can book mark this page on your phone or save the video to your own play list on YouTube.

If you are finding that you have a tendency to drift away into thought when meditating, that is ok. This is completely normal. You don't need to fight this. When you notice, just bring yourself back to your breathe with compassion and understanding.  With practice you will find it comes more easily.


You might also find, especially if you have ADHD, that long meditations are difficult for you to focus on. If so, aim for short 10 minute ones like these. Even half a meditation can help. There is much science to show the benefit of meditation for your overall wellbeing so every little bit you manage to do can make a big difference. 


If you have aphantasia, you may not be able to form mental images in your mind. That is also ok. You can use whatever works for you best. Perhaps focusing on the words, the music or colours that you might sense when listening is all perfectly normal. 

Tips for success with my meditations

  • Give yourself permission to take 10 minutes for yourself at least once a day. If you are a people pleaser or an overgiver, you might find that this is not something you regularly so (as you put other people's needs before your own). By beginning to just have 10 minutes a day, even if it is in secret initially, you can start to learn that you matter too.
  • You do not need to be perfect at meditation (for all you perfectionists). You have to give yourself permission to be bad at something before you can become good at it. Be kind to yourself.
  • Starting or ending your day with a 10 minute Inside Out® Meditation can really help. It is especially useful just before bedtime. 
  • If you find you sometimes feel strong emotions when meditating, that is ok. Allow them to pass through you and release them. This is a good thing.  Acknowledge it and notice how different you feel as you release any stored or trapped emotions.
