Letting go of the past meditation

In this 10 minute meditation, the focus is on letting go of something or someone in your past so you can move forward safely and with confidence.

If you are finding that you have a tendency to drift away into thought when meditating, that is ok. With practice you will find it comes more easily.


You might also find, especially if you have ADHD that long meditations are difficult for you to focus on. If so, aim for short 10 minute ones like these. 

Tips for Meditation

  • Don't fight your mind if it wanders. It is normal for it to wander. If you notice this, just redirect your thoughts back to the meditation without judgment. 
  • If you are new to meditation, focus on your breath as an anchor. 
  • Starting and ending your day with a 10 minute meditation can really help you build up your inner resources. 
  • If you can't feel, don't worry. Your mind and body will protect you in certain ways so just be grateful for the bits you can do at any particular time. 
  • Ensure that you have a 10 minute free period for meditation. Switch off your phone or wake up 10 minutes earlier to do it.
